To best understand the evolution and breadth of capabilities of the IDS Group, it is important to know the respective history of the organizations that have been joined together to form this multi-disciplined company that is the IDS Group today.\r\n\r\nIDS was established in 1998 as Integrated Design Services by Dr. Said Hilmy, a well-known expert and award-winning structural engineer, initially offering structural design and forensic engineering consulting services to both public and private sector clients in Southern California. Shortly thereafter, Dr. Rami Elhassan, a well-known licensed structural engineer with numerous industry-related publications and awards to his credit, joined the firm, as a principal and partner.\r\n\r\nBuilding on initial successes with clients including Intel Corporation, Whittier Union High School District, Los Angeles County, and Pacific Health Corporation, IDS Group continued to grow, relying upon efficient business practices and core values that continued to drive the firm’s mission and vision. With their combined energy and resources, Dr. Hilmy and Dr. Elhassan used their experience and knowledge to implement their vision – a fully-integrated, multi-disciplinary consulting services company, serving clients both in the U.S. and abroad.
