    Job Purpose
    The role holder is responsible for managing activities related to conferences and specialized programs for STC by keeping abreast of conferences and workshops around the world, maintaining conference schedules, managing enrolment, consolidating the required training material, ensuring that logistics activities are provided efficiently and managing relationships with special programs vendors in order to develop and enhance employees’ knowledge, skills and competencies. The role holder shall carry out his duties in accordance with the stipulated business policies and procedures
    Key Responsibilities
    Participates in the development and implementation of the Management Training plans, in line with the corporate objectives

    Directs and manages the Conferences & Specialized Programs Section mandates, providing leadership and facilitating work processes in order to achieve high performance standards

    Interprets and implements change in the Conferences & Specialized Programs Section providing guidance and support, necessary for continuous improvement

    Ensures that the Sector strategy is cascaded for the Conferences & Specialized Programs Section and develops business plans for the Section to drive the achievement of the desired objectives

    Manages the budget for all activities related to conferences and workshops to ensure adherence to established budget and informs Director – Management Training in case of any deviation

    Maintains the detailed conferences and workshops schedules to maintain a comprehensive database for future reference

    Coordinates with the Personnel Services Department to ensure that the participant profiles for the training programs are updated

    Keeps abreast of conferences and workshops happening in-house and around the world

    Manages the enrolment for conferences and specialized programs and provides support for logistics activities like visa, transportation, etc. for the participants

    Manages relationship with special programs vendors and conferences organizers

    Ensures adherence to set quality guidelines and parameters for the Conferences & Specialized Programs Section and takes necessary action to rectify any deviations

    Follows appropriate processes and systems to manage and share knowledge, expertise and professional experiences within the Section

    Defines goals and key performance indicators for each member of the team and ensures effective application of the STC performance management process

    Directs planning and selection of manpower in the Conferences & Specialized Programs Section, in line with the business and operational plans

    Ensures high level of employee engagement and capability development by providing on-going feedback and coaching team members within the Conferences & Specialized Programs Section


    Qualifications/
    Certification

    Bachelor’s Or Master degree in Human Resources/Business Administration or equivale

    Required
    Experience

    A minimum of 6 years of relevant experience

    Desired Skills & Knowledge

    Sound knowledge of all of STC’s internal operational and business processes

    Strong networking and relationship building skills

    Excellent knowledge of human resources areas

    Excellent written and oral communication skills

    Strong HR advisory skills

    Strong planning and coordination skills
