An exciting opportunity is available for a Engineering Section Head based in TASNEE PETROCHEMICAL RESEARCH CENTER in Jubail.
About the role:
In this role, you will be required to establish distinguishing scientific or technical expertise with demonstrable acquisition of knowledge, principles, practices and procedures in Plastic Design Engineering field. You will evolve into fully independent scientists or researchers in Plastic Design Engineering field, and aim to work independently or with minimal supervision while acquiring experience in developing work-plans, managing tasks, and contributing to the overall effectiveness of their units.
You will also be responsible to:
Perform tasks/projects of a larger scope and assumes leadership for specific tasks within the project scope in the field of Plastic Design Engineering field such as Solid design of plastic parts, AUTOCAD, MOLDFLOW and simulations for plastic processing according to market need and customer requirements, manage new developments project to fit specific application requirements and meet the deliverables plan and milestones of the project. Engages in initiatives of moderate difficulty.
Under the supervision of senior members, evaluate, select and apply procedures and techniques in the field of plastic design engineering using licensed software. Identify problems and related technical issues leading to long-term, generic solutions in the area plastic using simulation tools.
Define work-plans and approaches and assume responsibility for timeliness, cost effectiveness, and quality of outputs. Continually aim to enhance capabilities for project planning, including assessment of cost, scope and schedule against plan.
Contribute in providing ideas to improve the efficiency of the unit in the area of plastic engineering field.
Continually improve technical expertise and knowledge through experience and application in the area.
Play an active role in the preparation of reports, papers, presentations, new proposals. Presents papers at technical meetings. Start becoming part of identifiable external peer network.
Assist in planning, evaluating, selecting, and adapting standard scientific techniques and procedures.
Adhere to high process standards by applying the principles of the scientific method; documenting and sharing best practices; and engaging with centres of excellence from academia, industry, and specialized organizations.
Adhere to high process standards by implementing quality assurance processes, implementing and complying with safety and environmental standards, and respecting regulatory guidelines.
You will ideally be required to have the following minimum requirements:
Bachelor’s degree in Chemistry, Chemical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Physics, Material/Polymer Science or related field with minimum 5 years of experience or
Master’s degree in Chemistry, Chemical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Physics, Material/Polymer Science or related field with minimum 3 years of experience. or
PhD in Chemistry, Chemical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Physics, Material/Polymer Science or related field from internationally recognized university.
Experience in the field of design, AUTOCAD and MOLD FLOW softwares.
Original research and academic publications in relevant fields
