Engineer, Stationary Equipment
Description • Conducts root cause analysis, for failures of Stationary Equipment in SAMAPCO plants. Prepares the investigation report containing corrective actions and recommendations, and follows up their implementation. • Participates in shutdown/turnaround preparation and reviews any inspection plans and reports for SAMAPCO. Participates in and monitors the activities of compliance as per applicable code, company standards and procedures • Interacts and works closely with other departments/sections in all SAMAPCO to assess the condition and fitness for service of Stationary Equipment in the plants, their reliability and residual life expectancy. • Participates in the development of reliability section goals and budget. • Reviews failure reports issued by Stationary Equipment Inspector (SEI) and provides support to SEIs in tracking failure reports, when required. • Analyzes stationary equipment history records, thickness measurement (TM) data and recommends predictive and/or preventive inspection programs. Prepares periodic and special reports on inspection surveys, troubleshooting activities and other related assignments. • Attends PMR/Capital project review meetings, reviews Stationary equipment inspection and test plan and decides hold points when required. • Reviewing testing reports issued by stationary equipment inspector (SEI), and provides assistance to SEI as needed. • Conduct shop inspection for repaired Stationary Equipment (SE) in kingdom and out of kingdom when required. • Inspect new equipment and witness Factory Acceptance Tests (FAT) as required. • Assist plant operations personnel in the commissioning/start-up of new or repaired SE as required. • Provides functional and administrative support to Stationary Equipment Inspector. • Attends operation and other meetings for manufacturing and maintenance support for SAMAPCO plants as required. • Participate in the PHA committees or any meetings / committees as required by the Reliability Section H
Skills • Fully conversant with engineering codes, standards, regulations and practices followed in petrochemical industries. • The candidate has to be familiar with personal computer and experience of working with software application packages for condition monitoring. • The candidate has to be Strong command of English language, for written and verbal communication.
