The head of Engineering is responsible for devising and implementing service strategies across the organisation, leading projects from conception to implementation, including design, contracting and site supervision and executing the project within the defined requirements of cost, time and functionality. Ultimately he has the objective of ensuring business success and satisfaction of the customer and professional stakeholder.

Main Responsibilities:

Gathers information from all depts. across the organisation and identifies required facilities, utilities and services.

Plan and implement company’s projects to the best interest of the company and prioritize the implementation of these projects.

Estimate the cost of each work or service provided by the Engineering Department to other departments.

Plan and coordinate the layout, study and implementation of project, working closely with the technical resources in each business function.

Plan and coordinate preparing tenders and analysing technical and financial bids.

Assist in the selection of consultants technical providers and ensure their work is carried out in according to service agreements and contract arrangements.

Supervise and monitor the implementation of projects, to be carried out in different regions as scheduled.

Follow-up and supervise initial and final takeover of completed projects.

Identify the maintenance and repair requirements for the company’s projects and centres. Supervise implementation, identify and approve quantities and specifications of construction materials for projects.

Participate in technical committees and give engineering advices.

Control and reduce costs of works and services provided by the Engineering department.

Update and apply policies, procedures and instructions related to design and execute company’s projects in various locations.

Examine and develop the Department’s work by introducing efficient action-plans and applying software and mechanisms for reducing costs and increasing productivity.

Identify training requirements for department’s employees in order to improve performance.

Participate in annual budget exercise for the Department.

Perform other jobs as assigned by the Director - HR Support Services.


Minimum Qualification:
BS degree in Civil, Electrical, Mechanical and Electronics Engineering or equivalent.
Project Management Diploma preferred.

Minimum Experience:
10 years’ experience in the area of construction, maintenances and projects of a multi-national or major companies in the Kingdom or outside.
