[LEFT]Job Brief / Description:
Examines and reports all specimens including surgical, gynecologic and non-gynecologic cytology and bone marrow specimens.
Consults with the surgeon during the course of operation with or without frozen section examination.
Works with clinical laboratory services, when needed, and provides consultations regarding selecting test procedures, quality control/assurance measures and their interpretation.
Participates in educational activities of the lab personnel.
Participates in professional staff meetings and in inter-divisional medical conferences.
Consults and communicates with physicians regarding pathology or laboratory results.
Minimum Requirements: (education / relevant experience / credentials or licenses)
Education:
M.D. degree
Fluency in English
Certified by American or Canadian Board of Pathology
Preferable: Molecular Pathology Subspecialty Board
Experience:
Four years of specialized post-graduate training.
Two years’ experience in specialist capacity beyond post-graduate training.
License: License to practice in country of origin
