[LEFT] Duties: Job Purpose: Implement the most effective analytical tools to support process reliability and ensure product quality across operational unit; provide expertise to monitor and optimize the routine and non- routineanalytical requirements for operational unit, and ensure that Central Laboratory is prepared to meet the analytical needs. A member of the Multi- functional team supporting the operation of the Production Units. Functional Duties: -1. Recommend and ensure availability of required analytical instruments to support routine operation. - 2. Provide analytical and process chemistry expertise to resolve process and product related problems. - 3. Follow Sadara approved procedures andpractices related to operation, maintenance, and calibration of lab instruments. - 4. Ensure that the lab delivers accurate and timely analytical results per the sample plan and Service Level Agreement. - 5. Implement Analytical Methods(ASTM/UOP/Other standards methods) in the assigned labs; work with Day/shift technicians to validate/qualify new equipment and methods and monitor system capability/performance. - 6. Conduct periodic visits to supported envelope, and participate withOperation/Engineering to evaluate and improve Plants’ performance. - 7. Suggest and implement improvements for Laboratory services provided for operational units in line with business strategies and set goals. - 8. Generates sound analytical dataand interpretation for complex systems. - 9. Participate in troubleshooting analytical methods, and laboratory instruments. - 10. Ensure availability of required spare parts, chemicals, reference material, and consumables. - 11. Network withother technical personnel to keep abreast with relevant areas of analytical and process technologies and leverages technical solutions. - 12. Improve and leverage Analytical Discipline and Procedures; anticipate/address lab or product quality problems,and conduct root- cause analysis and remediation. - 13. Monitor analytical performance through the utilization of statistical tools, or Six Sigma Methodology, interpret results, and take appropriate corrective action as needed. - 14. Participate inseminars, conduct presentations, and issue technical reports; document, communicate and archive analytical results. - 15. Train mentees and arrange technician’s certification on analytical systems and technology. - 16. Ensure that the sample plansfor labs are current, accurate, and meet the needs of supported customers. - 17. Work with Analyzer Specialist/Engineer to ensure the reliability of data generated by the process on- line analyzers. - 18. Apply and comply with ISO 9001 standardrequirements and follow the laboratory and site safety procedures. - 19. Comply with EH&S guidelines and overall safety processes. - 20. Perform any job- related activities as requested by the immediate supervisor/manager. ManagerialDuties: N/A Education : Essential: Bachelor of Science degree (BS) in Chemistry, Industrial Chemistry or any relevant field.
