[LEFT]CORE PURPOSE OF THE JOB:
To provide Fire Safety support to Operations Division management which involves site auditing, advising on compliance with Almarai policy and procedures, the application of appropriate fire codes and standards, in particular the NFPA codes ensuring the Operations Division remain Fire Safety compliant.
ACADEMIC / PROFESSIONAL QUALIFICATION:
Engineering Degree. Fire Prevention qualifications from a recognized institute or gove
ment body. Fire fighting qualifications from a recognized institute or gove
ment body.
NON-ACADEMIC QUALIFICATION:
Spoken and written English.
PROFESSIONAL EXPERIENCE:
Must have a minimum of 10 years experience in fire fighting and fire prevention within a large municipal brigade or large industrial brigade. Has managed fire safety at a senior level in a FMCG or Major industrial site for a minimum of 10 years. Good knowledge of fire legislation Membership of.

PC literate to a good standard, especially ms office suite. Excellent communication and influencing skills essential. Good leader, mentor and coach. Able to articulate fire safety as simply as possible, providing inspiration and expert advice and assistance which is sensitive to, and consistent with the constraints within which managers operate. Able to develop collaborative and productive relationships with managers and be able always, to demonstrate a case on the grounds of best practice and good business sense. Operational Must be able to lead and command multi task work groups on fire safety aspects. Must be able to conduct fire safety awareness programs independently. Must be able to coach managers / supervisors in fire risk assessment process. Must be able to act as arbitrator and mentor in the process of incident investigation. Must be able to carry out audits. Managerial Able to manage multi-national employees and lead them to a safety culture. Proficient in writing technical reports. Human/Cultural Must be able to relate to cultural differences within the workforce and treat all as equal.
