Responsibilities
Leading Oracle Consulting engagements, responsible for project deliverables, delivering margin and customer satisfaction
Managing a portfolio of small to medium customer engagements and project teams
No line management but leads a team of Consultants on client projects
Works closely with Consulting Practices to align resources and skills
Works as required with designated Oracle Partners and third parties
Managing Bids for small to medium opportunities - reviewing bids to ensure a thorough understanding of the client requirements
Producing Project Plans that outline the Project Management process and include: detailed estimates, a quality plan, key deliverables, resources required, risks, issues and dependencies according to Oracles quality standards
Assigning work packages to Project Team members, ensuring their buy-in by effectively leveraging their skills
Providing technical direction and support to the Project Team
Monitoring progress against the Project Plan
Assessing the impact of changes to the plan
Managing issues and risks within the scope of work, escalating as appropriate
Reports to the Consulting Practice Director Saudi Arabia
Skills and Experience
Prior consulting experience preferred, including software implementations delivering product to meet client requirements.
Understanding of market leading project management software tools.
Experience of bid/proposal development and commercial negotiation preferred through to successful delivery.
Full software solution implementation life cycle experience preferred.
Proven track record in reporting and managing project budget and schedule.
High communication and presentation skills, influencing & negotiating, customer focus, building relationships, planning & organising
SaaS project delivery experience preferred
PMI Certification preferred
Required work experience: at least 3 years in project management
Detailed Description and Job Requirements
A fully competent project management professional who has a broad understanding of solutions and industry best practices. This first-level project management position provides consistent creative and high quality solution leadership ensuring project quality and timely delivery within budget to the customer’s satisfaction.
Employs independent judgment in guiding moderately complex activities involved in the successful implementation of an integrated business solution, ensuring project quality and timely delivery within budget to the customer’s satisfaction. Analyzes business needs to help ensure Oracle’s solution meets the customer’s objectives by combining industry best practices and product knowledge. Effectively applies Oracle’s methodologies, policies, and procedures while adhering to contractual obligations, thereby minimizing Oracle’s risk and exposure. As a project lead, assists project team with aspects of their roles. Effectively influences decisions at the management level of customer organizations. Ensures deliverables are acceptable and works closely with the customer to understand and manage project expectations. Supports business development efforts by pursuing new opportunities and extensions. Collaborates with the consulting sales team by providing domain credibility. Manages the scope of small projects and sub-projects.
6-8 years of experience relevant to this position including 0-5 years of project management experience. Demonstrated ability to follow solid project management principles. Comfortable working in a matrix management environment. Strong communication skills to deal with inte
al stakeholders, customers, and vendors. Product, technology or industry expertise relevant to the portfolio focus. Bachelor’s degree in a relevant field or equivalent experience. Ability to travel as needed.
