Perform all kinds of welding including TIG, MIG, arc, high pressure, low pressure and gas welding. Be able to fabricate metals and drive forklift. Performing a variety of welding functions. The individual should be familiar with and capable of using various types of welding equipment. A welder is also required to perform other miscellaneous tasks, as supervision deems necessary. Roles & Responsibilities 1To perform all types of structure steel welding, metal cutting, fabrication, inert gas welding in all positions as per related Welder Performance Qualification (WPQ) certificate. 2To assess type of welding for different applications and required welding electrodes /filling wires according to type material and gauge. 3To operate oxy-acetylene equipment (manual torch and automatic cutting machines) for cutting, beveling, and brazing plate and pipe and pre/ post heating of welding in accordance with inte
ational standards. 4Perform welding on steel, aluminum, PVC, GRP & plastic. 5To recommend to Supervisor for purchase of materials and supplies for various types of welding requirements 6To Read and interprets fabrication drawings and weld symbols. 7To operate Forklift if required. 8To carry out any other duty assigned to him by the management from time to time. 9Perform other duties as assigned Skills Educational DesiredDiploma PreferredAssociate’s Diploma (3 years DAE in Mechanical) Minimum Experience Minimum3 years related experience and training or equivalent combination of education and experience. Preferable4-6 years of related experience and training or equivalent combination of education and experience. Required Skills 1.Awareness of Quality, Occupational Health & Safety and Environment Management system principles 2.Be able to execute the welding activities with high precision. 3.Good communication skills in English Language. 4.Hazard Risk assessment 5.Aspect Impact assessment Desired certification / Job specific skill / Training Valid welding performance qualification certificate. Work Condition While performing the duties of this position, the employee normally works near moving mechanical parts and in outside weather conditions. In high precarious places he may be occasionally exposed to fumes or airbo
e particles, toxic or chemicals risk and electrical shock. He may be required to work in confined spaces. The noise level in the work environment is usually moderate but very loud conditions do exist. ISO9001, 14001, OHSAS 18001 awareness/working knowledge is preferred
