Job Location Saudi Arabia Job Title Financial Services Officer Job Type Non-Academic Job Summary With the support of the Operations manager, the Financial Services Officer will act as a key member of the Operations team in Saudi Initiatives, performing multiple and varying assignments. The successful candidate will lead on smaller projects/programs or other work activities, and apply their experience and advanced knowledge to plan and accomplish assignments. Major Responsibilities Tracking and analyzing data to ensure compliance with policies and procedures; providing guidance to less-experienced professionals in day-to-day operations Identifying, analyzing, and recommending solutions for complex problems, and recommending improvements to systems and processes Developing, implementing, and administering accounting and policies Assisting with the monthly budget reports and year end closings Reviewing, evaluating, and modifying programs and policies to ensure compliance with requirements; identifying discrepancies and areas for improvement; identifying program accomplishments Compiling, reconciling, and presenting accounting and financial data, reports, and other information Providing oversight and guidance to finance and administration personnel in other ETD departments; coordinating requirements with the university departments that support KAUST accounting infrastructure Performing administrative and professional work of a fiscal, financial management, accounting, or budgetary nature in the Business and Finance office. Coordinating with various departments on billing activities and issues, including Operations. Organization Saudi Initiatives Division _N/A Technical Skills Knowledge and proficiency of Finance/Accounting principles Attention to detail and accuracy Knowledge of Procurement processes highly desirable Knowledge and understanding of billing issues and procedures, including use of billing systems Non-Technical Skills or Attributes Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, and a customer service mind-set required. Computer skills with MS Office software required, experience with SAP preferred. Organized and possess the ability to multi-task Required Education College/ University Degree Required: with a preference for Accounting, Finance, or Business Administration Required Experience At least 3 years of previous financial reporting experience preferred Knowledge and proficiency of Finance/Accounting principles
