Saudi Arabia Job Title End User Computing Lead Job Type Non-Academic Job Summary Manages and administers the activities of information systems technical and/or end user support. Provides hardware and software support, problem analysis, technical assistance, and training for various information systems in the university environment. Develops and establishes procedures for handling end user support issues. Major Responsibilities • Manages the operation and administration of facilities that provide core IT end user support and services to the University; ensures that facilities are available, efficiently staffed, and equipped with appropriate technology and supplies. • Plans and oversees the development, implementation and support of information technology programs and initiatives for the provision of University-wide IT support and services. • Efficiently allocates incoming requests to the team, prioritizing actions and monitoring team resource so that deadlines are met. • Identifies and highlight best practices in support management through continuous assessment and feeding process recommendations to the Management. • Provides level 1 and 2 support, assist and coordinate the activities of level 3 troubleshooting. • Solves moderately complex problems and/or conduct moderately complex analyses. • Provides explanations and information to others on difficult issues. • Manages staff with the installation, configuration, training and ongoing usability and management of desktop computers, peripheral equipment and software. • Diagnoses and resolves desktop software and hardware problems including PCs, laptops, peripherals and communication devices. • Works with vendor support contacts to resolve technical problems with desktop computing equipment and software. • Provides support to helpdesk services (respond to incoming calls, log and track incidents, keep staff informed). • Maintains hardware and software inventory, assist in IT asset management. • Oversees the maintenance and updating of site licenses for all software and applications. • Participates as a member of management team in planning, problem resolution, and reviewing department performance. • 24/7 technical support on a shift patte
. Organization Information Technology Division IT Services Technical Skills ACSA Certified. Non-Technical Skills or Attributes English Speaking Team Player Required Education Bachelors in Computer Science or related degree. Required Experience •8-10 Years of experience of working in an IT environment with at least 5 years team lead/ supervision experience in an IT end user Support environment.
