Job Purpose The main purpose of the G.Foreman’s job is to supervise the construction works of a specific section or discipline, and ensure those activities are done in a timely and cost efficient manner and as per set specifications 2. Principal Accountabilities Is responsible for a discipline (Civil) in the project Handles most operational activities in his zone in a defined discipline, and provides direct technical supervision i.e. measurement, sizes, heights, etc. (depending on his discipline) to ensure execution as per the drawings Responsible for filling equipment and workers’ timesheets Ensures that all drawings are available with him Ensure the daily programming of site works for the crews reporting to him Guides his Chargehand reading drawings, and clarifies any discrepancies with the General Foremen if any Ensures respecting the company’s and the client’s quality standards Ensures full adherence to safety standards on site Coordinates with other discipline Foremen within his zone Performs other tasks as delegated by the General Foreman Provides support for the professional development (including training) of direct reports `3. Communications and Working Relationships Reports to and supports the Civil Engineer on all issues related to construction Coordinates closely with P&M and logistics for the provision of materials and goods to construction team Interacts with several subcontractors during construction execution Coordinates with Site Engineers on engineering matters Interacts with and manages direct reports and operational issues on a daily basis 4. Knowledge, Skills, and Experience Diploma in a related field Excellent leadership, interpersonal, communications, organization / project management skills, and a proven ability to motivate and manage teams Minimum 8 years experience in a comparable sized operation to ESEC Good knowledge of construction sequences and methods Good numerical and IT skills Experience in the Middle East is a strong plus 5. Physical Requirements of the Job The G.Foreman’s job requires physical efforts such as prolonged standing onsite and lifting of heavy objects
