Job Purpose The Senior Techncian – Electrical is responsible to perform electrical installation, repair, trouble shooting and maintenance work requiring corresponding high skills level, and carries out complex repairs on electrical equipment and systems. DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES Analyzes, troubleshoots, and performs diagnosis for problems with equipment, electrical controls, and electrical power systems. Reads and interprets technical repair manuals, operating guides, schematics, wiring diagrams, shop drawings, and codebooks. Install and test electrical equipment for optimum performance. Repair, overhaul, operation and maintenance of electrical machinery. Conversant with all safety precautions essential for working on HT and LT systems and familiar with treatment for electrical shocks. Carry out carbon brush maintenance of low and medium voltage slip ring induction motors. Responsible to carry out inspection of running equipment. Performs basic mathematical calculations, including minor algebra, to calculate electrical loads, power factors, horsepower, etc. Prepares and maintains records, reports, parts lists, and work orders. Operates diagnostic test equipment and interprets results. Utilizes a variety of tools associated with electrical distribution systems. Determines when to repair or replace equipment. Performs inspection of electrical systems for new construction of and modification to plant facilities. Follows established safety and environmental guidelines and procedures for all work performed. Immediately reports safety and environmental incidents including injuries, illnesses, near misses, and safety suggestions. Fosters a positive safety culture in which no one gets hurt. Requirement: Technical Diploma in Industrial Electronics At least 3 - 6 years of working experience in a similar field Education Electrical Major
