Job Purpose: The Assistant Technician – Electrical is responsible for Ensuring that all electrical systems and related equipment are maintained, serviced and tested, and installed in accordance with the applicable rules and regulations, the electrical standards and good industry practice. DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES: Performs intermediate skilled work maintaining and repairing electrical equipment. Repair and replace electric motors, control circuits, circuit boards and various electronic components on manufacturing equipment. Install electrical machinery, give electrical connections and test electrical equipments for optimum performance. Carry out carbon brush maintenance of low and medium voltage slipring induction motors including cleaning of carbon dust. Carry out inspection of running equipments and inform the superiors about the abnormalities, if any. Conversant with all safety precautions essential for working on HT and LT systems and familiar with treatment for electrical shocks. Performa housekeeping of job location after completion of job and ensure all unused items are disposed / shifted to allocated location. To carry out shift duty jobs and ensuring timely attention has been given to the problems reported by CCR operator, engineers. Maintenance and installation of plant and office lighting. Maintenance and installation of security system components and systems throughout the plant buildings. Skills Industrial High School / Vocational training in Electrical or any other related discipline. Good communication in English Education Electrical Major
