Proper identification of the patient and study type.
Preparation of the radioisotope needed for the study with adequate dose considering patient age and weight.
Prepare I.V. line for injectable isotopes.
Ensure patient compliance for necessary instructions prior or during certain studies (e.g. avoidance of certain food types in I-131 scan and adequate hydration in bone scan
Imaging should be under supervision of Nuclear Medicine Consultant
To perform the routine machines calibration and surveys.
Maintaining proper log books of radio-active materials and Tc generators as well as maintaining the radio-active waste room
To keep check on the hot lab and report any problem to Department Director & RSO.
To ensure continuous supply of materials and isotopes used in the department.
Qualifications
Bachelor Degree in the same field.
Minimum of 1 year of experience.
Valid Saudi Council
Valid Basic Life Support
