Job Purpose:
Conduct overall assessment, planning, training and coordination of resources for the Emergency Response Team (ERT).
Functional Duties:
Utilize knowledge and experience in order to continuously improve operating discipline and performance of ERT members.
Conduct drills for ERT on emergency equipment and response process.
Lead the ERT participation on ES department and site drills.
Assess ERT competency, develop and implement plan to address gaps.
Develop, review and implement ERT procedures.
Ensure that ERT required resources to function are available and maintained.
Determine, in coordination with the EOC if necessary, the overall objectives to be accomplished.
Conduct initial briefing with Emergency Dispatch Center, line officers, and SEM.
Develop capability for all emergency response areas such as firefighting, HAZMAT Response, emergency medical response, high angle/confined space rescue, distribution, emergency response, dispatcher, etc. in order to serve as a qualified emergency responder for Sadara
Maintain physical fitness for duty to be ready for any emergency situation and perform well.
Establish communication with Dispatch Center/EOC, Deputy Chief, Fire Chief and SEM, liaison with Unit Immediate Response Leader and non-emergency organisations committed to the incident.
Perform any job-related activities as requested by the immediate supervisor/manager.
Direct and manage respective teams in performing their roles, responsibilities and delegated tasks.
Conduct performance evaluation reviews for team members, identify and ensure that they acquire the required functional skills and knowledge.
Education: High School or Higher.
REQUIRED Certifications:
NFPA 472 HazMat Technician Level
NFPA 600 and 1081 Industrial Fire Brigade (Incipient Level Training)
NFPA 600 and 1081 Industrial Fire Brigade (Advanced Exterior Level)
NFPA 600 and 1081 Industrial Fire Brigade (Interior Structural Level)
NFPA 1006 Rope Rescue Level I/II
NFPA 1006 Confined Space Rescue Level I/II
Incident Command 100 and 200 OR Incident Command System certificate "ICS" OR Incident Commander certificate "IC"
PREFERRED Certifications:
Saudi Heavy Driver’s license
NFPA 1002 Fire Apparatus Driver/Operator
NFPA 472 HazMat Specialist Level
NFPA 1006 Vehicle Rescue I
NFPA 1002 Aerial Fire Truck Driver/Operator
NFPA 1041 Fire Instructor I
NFPA 1021 Fire Officer I
NFPA 1021 Fire Officer II
NFPA 1521 Incident Safety Officer
NFPA 1041 Fire Instructor II
Years of Experience: Minimum 12 years.
