Manages the planning,delivery and operational performance of distribution and/or logistics operations for a
Region or Business Unit, including the warehousing and transportation of finished goods and/or raw
materials. Proposes budget for the regional operation expenditures. Contributes to functional strategy.
In this role, you will be responsible of:
1. Manages distribution and logistics operations ensuring compliance with all relevant Safety
and Environmental standards.
2. Approves and oversees improvement initiatives in the region in line with competition
movements. Develops Operating Manual.
3. Liaises and coordinates with inte
al/exte
al parties to provide support and ensure smooth
execution.
4. Monitors effectiveness of all major supply chains; plans, implements on-going performance
improvements. Deals with major issues.
5. Defines scope of works for in/out sourcing and procurement of warehousing and
transportation services.
6. Participates in vendor evaluations, contract negotiations and procurement decisions for
supply chain contracts.
7. Analyses distribution and logistics performance to optimise safety, efficiency and costs and
maintain customer service levels.
8. Monitors and drives performance goals in inventory management, shipping and receiving and
maintenance of storage facilities.
9. Oversees team staffing, development and performance management; develops talent and
builds a high performance culture.
Minimum Qualification and Experience:
• Masters or Post Graduate qualification in a specific discipline or MBA.
• 14 years experience with Advanced Degree is desirable with 10 years supervisory experience.
