[LEFT]Role Purpose: This role has significant contribution in the development and execution of strategy to foster regional and economic integration within and across IDB member countries. This role participates on behalf of IDD in advising member countries on WTO accession talks and in discussion in OIC related events. Responsibilities/activities: Participate in the annual preparation of operational plan and work program of the division. Provide input in strategy review of the Regional and Economic Integration. Support the definition of performance indicators. Contribute to the discussion of MCPS, in coordination with the conce
ed divisions, to facilitate the identification of regional and integration projects. Technically contribute to the development of an IDB Group Regional Integration and Economic Framework aiming at helping member countries to synergize on each other’s strengths and potentials, reduce economic and trade barriers between them, and open new doors for wealth creation, for mutual benefit. Review the terms of framework and agreements provide technical input for further enhancement. Support the Division Manager and Lead Professional in the promotion of regional and economic integration through regional interventions, technical assistance and capacity building (operations, dialogue, knowledge products, etc,) that aim at solving complex and diverse barriers and infrastructure constraints that hamper the regional integration process and discourage investment. Implement the MOUs and follow up on progress. Implement IDB’s WTO related Technical Assistance and Capacity Building Program. Collaborate with OIC, its Organs and Institutions on behalf of the IDB Group on matters related to cooperation and coordination between Member Countries. Participate in and contribute to discussions to provide Trade-related Technical Assistance (TRTA) as it relates to economic and regional integration of member countries among themselves and with the global economy. Propose solutions to procedures that regulate trade and investment and business activities; complex customs arrangements; also propose solutions to the lack of harmonization of policies, regulations and procedures gove

t for further input into the programming and operations cycle. Attend and participate forums and events related to Economic Integration of Members Countries. Technically review and provide input in the development of reports. Prepare background documents, reports and papers relating to conferences and meetings organized by OIC, its Institutions and Standing Committees, such as, the Islamic Summit, the Islamic Conference of Foreign Ministers, the Commission on Social and Cultural Affairs, COMCEC, etc. Qualification & Experience: Master degree in Business Administration / Economics / Inte
ational Trade and Development / any relevant field. 9 years relevant experience in cooperation work within a similar institution. Fluency in English is essential. Arabic & French will be preferred.
