JOB PURPOSE To support the training cell activities by managing the authorisation database across the maintenance function (Forward and Depth) whilst assisting with the general administration duties for the cell. The incumbent will also be required to assist in the training of technicians by developing and delivering lesson plans and training courses. These will be carried out to support the development of RSAF technicians in support of the RSAF Typhoon Flying programme and generate aircraft to achieve the contracted Operational Ready Rates in accordance with best industry practice, BAE Systems procedures, the Maintenance Organisation Exposition and the RSAF Regulatory Framework. JOB ACCOUNTABILTIES Controlling and managing the Typhoon maintenance function engineering authorisation database; Managing the re-authorisation process; Raising and submitting requests for training/re-authorisations; Raising and submitting requests for permissions on Engineering Support System and Ground Support System; Assist with the development and delivery of lesson plans; Carrying out any administration duties as required by the Training Cell Senior Supervisor; Carrying out and delivering induction briefs to visitors or new arrivals on the AGF; Assist in maintaining the LSC authorisations; Managing the mandated training database and delivering toolbox talks, IT security etc. RECRUITMENT SPECIFICATION Essential Must be educated to ONC level or recognised equivalent or have relevant experience supported by formal, recorded workplace applied related training. Must have completed a recognised aircraft engineering apprenticeship in industry/military or similar qualification in aircraft systems. Understanding of authorisation/qualification processes Extensive proven post qualification experience of military fast jet maintenance support, within an operational military flying environment. Good level of interpersonal skill and the ability to communicate influence and deliver consolidation training to RSAF personnel. Desirable An understanding of engineering operating procedures. Experience of working in the aviation industry in a Gulf Coast Country preferred. The ability to act upon his own initiative within the scope of his job. Previous experience of Typhoon Aircraft Systems would be advantageous Formal instructional qualification A conscientious approach to work and meticulous attention to detail. A track record of meeting strict deadlines without compromising standards and quality. Previous experience of delivering work place training. An understanding of ESS or similar electronic based reporting system. Thorough knowledge of operating IT Databases. RECRUITMENT The post holder will have the following background: Ex-military with experience serving on an operational military flying unit. Experience of working in the aviation industry in a Gulf Coast Country preferred. The ability to act upon his own initiative within the scope of his job. A conscientious approach to work and meticulous attention to detail is also required. Ability to deliver consolidation training to engineering personnel. A track record of meeting strict deadlines without compromising standards and quality. Experience of conducting training in a classroom environment Proven experience of managing Microsoft databases. The Job Holder requires these attributes as he will be controlling the engineering authorisation processes and assisting with the training requirements to enable personnel to maintain aircraft and components and operate Royal Saudi Air Force Typhoon military aircraft.
