Work with partners to create, support and foster programs, competitions and events in KSA to ensure Saudis of all gender, ages, levels and abilities have the opportunity to participate in sports and physical activity and develop a suite of initiatives that enables Saudis to be active throughout the year.
Duties & Responsibilities
1. Develop the Programs, Competitions and Events strategy, implementation plan and targets in collaboration with the Programmes & Coaching Section Manager.
2. Lead the delivery of the strategy and be responsible for achieving agreed outcomes and targets.
3. Design and deliver (by working with partners) selected national programs, competitions and events to serve as showcase of success, inspire Saudis to get active and drive participation message on a national scale.
4. Collaborate with sports clubs and federations to develop appropriate competition structures for grassroots and youth sports.
5. Incentivise municipalities to create and manage systematic programs, events and competition schedule to provide opportunities for their communities to get active, discover sports and build lasting sports participation habits.
6. Create a public support mechanism for successful independent initiatives based on performance and impact tracking to empower communities or passionate individuals to organise meaningful local programs, groups and events.
7. Collaborate with Partnerships Section Manager to incentivise, increase flexibility and capacity for private sector to invest in sports initiatives in particular through creating public-private partnerships.
Required Skills
Qualification & Experience
· Bachelor’s degree in business administration or a relevant major.
Capabilities & Skills
· Extensive experience in:
- Setting up successful national programs and events.
- Working with private and public sector.
- Collaborating with municipalities.
- Building strategic relationships with stakeholders.
- Achieving targets.
- Sports organisations (federations, clubs etc.)
· Expertise and skills:
- Understanding of program impact tracking and funding allocation methods.
- Public-private partnerships.
- Events organisation and management.
- Understanding of public incentive and funding mechanisms.
- Business / financial planning.
- Organisational development.
- Strong communications both written and verbal.
- Strong interpersonal skills and ability to build networks.
· Track record in developing and implementing successful strategies/ programs at a national level.
· Proficiency in English and Arabic.
