JOB PURPOSE Carryout electrical maintenance activities for all Electrical equipment’s (Motors, Switch gears/Breakers (LV & HV) Generators, Batteries/Chargers, Generators, AVR, Inverters) in STG, Boilers and associate buildings in the plant to ensure their availability, maintainability, reliability, and efficiency. RESPONSIBILITES  Attend to STG, Boilers and associate buildings Electrical breakdowns and effect corrective actions in a timely manner to reduce downtime and maximize unit availability.  Carryout preventive maintenance activities in the Plant to maximize STG, Boilers and associate buildings availability  Monitor the quality of repaired units within defined limits so that any deviations or abnormal sounds are identified and corrected as soon as possible.  Performs routine inspections for batteries and battery chargers including cleaning from dust, checking battery terminals, dc voltage, specific gravity, and temperature.  Trouble shooting evolving, exaltation system, synchronizing of STG  Battery charges, Inverters and Electrical control system  Prepare regular report conce
ing his area of work and recommend ordering spare parts as and when required by his supervisor  Follow all relevant operational procedures and instructions so that work is carried out in a controlled and consistent manner.  Follow all relevant safety, quality and environmental control procedures and instructions so that personal safety of others is not jeopardized and a minimum level of product/service quality and environmental impact can be guaranteed. Skills MINIMUM QUALIFICATION & EXPERIENCE Minimum Qualification  Technical Electrical Engineering Diploma. Minimum Experience  1 - 3 year’s experience in an electrical maintenance environment within a large industrial or large Power Generation utilities, with experience in maintenance of Excitation system, AVRs Education  Technical Electrical Engineering Diploma
