JOB PURPOSE Operate SWC system or Desal or RO plants and all related auxiliaries, monitor performance parameters and take appropriate action to correct deviations from established standards to ensure continuity of operations and provision of SWC system or Desal or RO services as well as other tank farm services in a safe and reliable manner according to demands. RESPONSIBILITES  Perform daily routine check; on all plant and equipment for which the jobholder is accountable so that equipment is operated in a safe and smooth manner, maintained in a suitable condition and any maintenance can be carried out in a planned manner.  Responsible for receiving & monitoring the Fuel Oil deliveries from S. Aramco. Monitor Tank levels of potable water, process water, HFO, LFO and acid as well as Caustic Soda  Perform the changeover of the seawater pumps from C.R with co-ordination of local operator & Shift Supervisor.  Obtain the daily SWC system or Desal or RO consumptions figures from the Industries daily at mid night.  Monitor process parameters, controls within defined limits and take the necessary corrective action in case of emergencies or equipment breakdown to ensure the uninterrupted service.  Communicate with Heavy Industries Companies and Inte
al users in case of emergencies & service interruption during equipment/machinery change over and ensure their awareness.  Monitor the Hot line routine or emergency communications with industries, Checking and routine testing of all telephone hot lines with industries.  Maintain accurate shift records of events, machine status and operations so that all critical information in concisely communicated between shifts.  Respond immediately to emergencies, including fires, to mitigate and rescue Plant equipment and/or personnel during emergencies.  Follow all relevant operational procedures and instructions so that work carried out in a controlled and consistent manner.  Follow all relevant safety, quality and environmental control procedures and instructions so that personal safety of others is not jeopardized and a minimum level of product/service quality and environmental impact can be guaranteed. Skills MINIMUM QUALIFICATION & EXPERIENCE Minimum Qualification  Technical Diploma from a recognized institute OR  High School graduate Minimum Experience  3 years’ relevant plant operational experience in a large industrial environment as control room operator for a Diploma holder OR  6 - 8 years’ relevant plant operational experience in a large industrial environment including 3 years as control room operator for a High School graduate Education  Technical Diploma Or  High School graduate
