JOB PURPOSE To provide support to a proactive Technical Instruction (TI) management service interfacing with multiple organisations within the RSAF and Industry to support Typhoon operational and maintenance tasks, interfacing directly with the RSAF at all levels to help their understanding of the Typhoon TI requirements. To co-ordinate the development and issue of all TI kits and materiel in support of all TIs issued, including liaising with Industry Airworthiness Authorities for the resolution of technical issues as appropriate and co-ordinate any spares requirements with RSAF/UK Supply chain personnel. To assist with the development of Saudi National expertise in the Typhoon Technical Instructions management requirements. JOB ACCOUNTABILTIES Co-ordinate the development and issue of TI kits and material with RSAF Typhoon Supply agencies to support the timely embodiment in accordance with time compliance periods. Confirm availability of any spares required to satisfy a TI, including confirmation checking that all relevant part numbers are correct. Liaise with the CSF for advice on part availability and ordering, understanding whether assets will be a ‘Push’ from the UK, or, a ‘Pull’ from RSAF supply. Track Kit Set availability with the EA, ensuring the EA are aware of all RSAF Kit Set procurement issues. Maintain and monitor the Kit Set database, ensuring it is current and up to date. Ensure this database correlates with the TI Work In Progress Database. Assess whether alte
ative assets are required and how they can be obtained. Detailing why these assets are required and inform all necessary parties of these reasons. Inform the TI Senior Engineer of any Kit Set availability problems and how these may impact upon the timely issuing of the instruction. Demand items as required, monitoring these demands until they are satisfied. Highlight any problems that occur with any demand. Carry out a weekly check of the manifest list for the Supply Aircraft to confirm whether assets have arrived in KSA. Act on any received assets accordingly. Attend the Rejected STO review, ensuring all parties are informed of any issues regarding the procurement of kit sets and any problems with RSAF using the Kit provided. Liaise with Airworthiness to ensure the Rejected STO Tracker is updated with any Kit Set requirements. Communicate with Fleet Planning to ensure TI can be allocated and satisfied on RSAF Aircraft. Maintain the filing system for all wet signature papers. Assist the TI Senior Engineer and TI Engineers, as directed, in the processing of New instructions received from Airworthiness. Undertaking any additional, reasonable, tasks as may from time to time be requested by TSC and RSAF management. Providing support to structured On-the-Job training for RSAF and/or BAES TI Team members, in the form of training, coaching, work experience and mentoring as appropriate. RECRUITMENT SPECIFICATION Qualified to ONC, or equivalent, in an Aeronautical / Computing discipline, with extensive proven experience in an aircraft support/maintenance environment. Have a thorough knowledge of the operation, maintenance and support of mode
combat aircraft systems, their relevant maintenance management systems and airworthiness TI processes. Existing knowledge of the RSAF/RAF TI management requirements would be advantageous. Good understanding of the Typhoon Engineering Support System (ESS) and requirements for continuing airworthiness management is advantageous. RECRUITMENT Ideally from within BAE Systems, or currently serving within the RAF, to ensure familiarity with Typhoon and its TI management requirements, including the data management requirements within ESS. Candidates from a non-Typhoon background with other relevant experience gained with another air force will be considered where-by additional training can be provided.
