Job Purpose The main purpose of the Assistant Land Surveyor’s job is to execute land surveying work to obtain data for base plans as well as construction stake-out and boundary surveys 2. Principal Accountabilities Works under the direction of the Land Surveyor to adjust and operate surveying instruments Assists with the setup and the packing of surveying instruments Adjusts surveying instruments, clears sight lines, positions targets, and takes manual measurements Compiles notes, makes sketches, and reports the data Assists with the calibration of surveying instruments Maintains surveying instruments in proper condition Ensures full adherence to safety standards on site `3. Communications and Working Relationships Reports to and supports the Land Surveyor on all issues related to land surveying Interacts with and manages direct reports and operational issues on a daily basis 4. Knowledge, Skills, and Experience Diploma in a related field Excellent leadership, interpersonal, and communications skills Minimum 2 year experience in a comparable sized operation to ESEC Experience in the Middle East is a strong plus Ability to interpret engineering plans and specifications Excellent numerical and IT skills Fluent in English and preferably Arabic language 5. Physical Requirements of the Job The Assistant Land Surveyor’s jobs requires some physical effort such as standing on site and carrying / lifting light equipment
