JOB PURPOSE The Job Holder has the responsibility to oversee and manage the availability of components/material to meet the platforms flying operations and maintenance activities across multiple locations through effective demand forecast and planning. The Job Holder is also responsible to ensure that inventory levels are optimised to meet financial targets. JOB ACCOUNTABILTIES Daily supervision/management of all staff within the Supply Chain Planning Team. Development and training of Planning Team staff. Delivering an effective demand forecasting and planning solution. Ensuring planning department maximise the use of existing inventory to minimise expenditure. Ensure sufficient provision of inventory to support both scheduled and unscheduled events across multiple locations. Forecast and manage “Risk of Run Out” against contracted part range. Ensure effective management and realisation of opportunities within the planning team. Maintain data integrity within planning toolsets. Reporting and presenting on department performance. RECRUITMENT SPECIFICATION Essential Must have experience of supervising data manipulation and analysis from an industry standard planning engine (Xellus/Click Parts/Forecast pro). Must have extensive experience of an industry integrated platform support contract, within the manage assets work stream and preferably at the customers location. Ability to articulate Inventory Optimisation techniques and application scenarios. In depth ability with standard MS office products. Ability to articulate departmental status through reporting and briefing. Desirable Completion of the BAES 10/66 Inventory Optimisation Model. Existing knowledge of the Warton/Samlesbury business unit, operations/procurement/ Commercial organisations and interfaces. RECRUITMENT The post holder will have the following background: A track record of Industry/Military standard planning techniques and planning engines. The ability to act upon his own initiative and manage concurrent tasking within the scope of his job. A track record of meeting strict deadlines without compromising standards and quality. Experience of supervising a team and working to PI/KPIs. Experienced in the use of Microsoft office programmes and the ability to produce reports/presentations when required A track record of managing and realisation of opportunities.
