Job Description JOB PURPOSE To lead the Mechanical section and provide technical solutions to plants O&M problems in order to ensure the continuous availability and operability of all systems and associated equipment. RESPONSIBILITES  To respond to the technical support requests from O&M as well as to the other departments. Provide them Technical Support in the related matters. Participate and provide support in technical incidence investigations & Root Cause Failure analysis.  Prepare, review Technical reports of TSR studies, other technical studies requests. Ensure adherence to codes, regulations and standards while preparation of such reports.  Lead, assign, schedule, and manage all TSR processes workflow related to Mechanical, Civil, Rotating equipment’s & Boiler/Turbine. Ensure implementation of TSR procedure to have effective control on problem resolution.  Ensure that cost benefit analysis is done while providing the technical solutions to plant problems. Ensure that section operates within the approved budget.  Organize and supervise the activities and work of a small team of subordinates to ensure that all work within a specific area of Technical Support Section is carried out in an efficient and procedurally compliant manner.  Communicate the requirement of operational procedures and instructions to subordinates and monitor their adherence so that work is carried out in a controlled manner.  Ensure that all relevant safety (OHSMS), quality and environmental procedures, instructions and controls are adhered to so that the safety of employees, quality of products/services and environmental compliance can be guaranteed. Skills MINIMUM QUALIFICATION & EXPERIENCE Minimum Qualification  University degree in a Mechanical engineering. Minimum Experience  8 years’ engineering or project management experience in a heavy industrial or utilities environment.  Man-management/supervisory experience.
