What are my responsibilities?
Assist in development, coordination, and finalization of schedules for installation, testing and telecom commissioning systems for various Siemens communication orders.
Regularly Communicate project services schedule, risks and other pertinent issues to project managers and segment manager.
Perform regular site visits and monitor progress of site and preparation to ensure that all tasks are being completed on schedule in order to meet assigned project completion dates
Ensure to improve Siemens profitability by reducing time to site, problem resolution and completion of work.
Perform integration of SDH, DVM and PSE equipment from various corresponding OEMs like NSN, Coriant, Siemens, ABB and Connection Master
Responsible for a 24 hour response to service requests.
Develop Services Management tool and maintain accurate and appropriate data related to services activities of the team.
Coordinate and adjust schedules as necessary to minimize unexpected cost increases, and/or to improve overall profitability to Siemens—while maintaining customer satisfaction
Handle and respond to customer questions, complaints, and problems to maintain high levels of customer satisfaction throughout the project
Conduct/assist in training of services personnel on integration technologies.
Participate in presale activities with proposal when required
Improve relationship with customers by providing service excellence.
Follow Siemens, SEC and EPC policies such as safety, regulatory, dress codes/appearance and business conduct
Follow all Siemens quality control protocols and escalation policies
Maintain optimum communication practices—respond to emails, and written messages in a timely manner
Manage travel and office expenses to control costs. Maintain Siemens assets (telephones, cars, tools, etc) to ensure longevity and avoid breakdowns
Undertaking site surveys, when required, prior to site activities
Technical support & Liaising with Project managers & service engineers
What do I need to qualify for this job?
Minimum 08 years of expert level work experience in the field of telecommunication systems services
Testing and commissioning experience for telecom equipment, including Coriant 70xx, FMX, ABB Fox and or Alcatel SDH/DVM/PSE equipment. Working on TNMS/NMS/EMS experience is a must. Also have working experience on SEC LAN/WAN equipment in the substations.
Well versed with SEC requirements
Team player and flexible
Attended faults throughout the life cycle of the telecom equipment.
Telecom design review experience
Experience of working in multi cultural organization
Problem solving skills
Engineering Degree is required and preferred to have it in Telecommunications
