Key Responsibilities
Tender response
•Tender receipt for registration and confirmation
•Tender response development
•Tender documents/checklist/submission
•Tracking and maintain repository of Tenders.
•Bid to Win – clear KPI on winning track ratio
•Timely response on Tenders
Pricing Management
•Developing and maintaining pricing model
•Owner of Damco ocean tariff & carrier FAK templates.
•Understand customers’ cost drivers and profitability
•Provide relevant inputs on Forecasts and Client mapping
•Revenue Adjustment recommendations & decision Base
•Communication on adjustments (inte
al/exte
al)
•Analyse price sensitivity
•Pricing and M*Prove of locally controlled clients
•Negotiate & Drive – “key” transactional opportunities
•Ensure all contracts upload on GPM.
Origin Charge Catalogue
•Maintain regional pricing library in a central location
•Publication of tariff / exceptions lists / expiry dates
•Define agreements on Free Time/ Credit/ Brokerage/ Special Fees
•Be the regional point of contact for all overseas office enquiries on capabilities and credentials
Product Management
•Align product definitions and developments with Centre
•Regional product definition and input to product training
•Ensure compliance to CCMS processes
•Identify and escalate regional operational issues
•Drive mindset change exte
ally of being a carrier neutral carrier forwarder
•Provide feedback on the local dynamics, carrier behaviours, inventory checks, market intelligence etc.
•Seek sensible compromise between short-term financial gain and long-terms procurement strategy.
•Close interaction and joint meetings with the commercial team on opportunities to set the right expectations inte
ally and also towards the customer
•Creation/Maintenance of monthly MSR to be shared with sales
•Sharing of relevant industry related news/updates with the commercial team on a timely basis
Carrier management
•Monitor and maintain MQC commitments esp. Focus Carriers
•Coordinate LCL negotiations with co-loaders/ offices
•Be an escalation channel for all Carriers’ Ops related issues.
•Negotiate & Maintain a monthly Pricing Sheet with relevant Carriers
•Be a driving force to promote & own few selected carriers
Key Performance Indicator
•Responsible for Core Carrier compliance.
•Maintain & improve relationship with Carriers.
•Pivotal role in enhancing margins by continuous procurement.
•Maintaining rate repository and Damco Pricing Templates.
•Tender Pricing effectiveness.
•Timely addressing & escalation of Carrier related operational issues.
