Job Summary Responsible for Purchase administration and order processing using ERP systems. Expediting materials from suppliers and ensure on-time delivery. Liaise with Account Department on payment matters. Roles & Responsibilities 1Ensure competent quality execution of all regular purchasing duties and administrative works related with purchasing. 2Execution and monitoring of all regular purchasing duties. 3Source, select and negotiate for the best purchase package in terms of quality, price, terms, deliveries and services with the suppliers. 4Ensure to receive minimum of 3 quotes and standard items should bind with contracts. Quotes comparison sheet has to prepare and should obtain signature according to the approval matrix 5Negotiate for the best purchasing package in terms of quality, price, terms, deliveries and services with the suppliers and contractors assigned. 6Responsible for the preparation and process purchase orders and documents in accordance with company policies and procedures. 7Prepare & issue purchase orders in accordance to specifications and agreed terms and conditions. 8Monitor and coordinate deliveries of items between suppliers (local or overseas). 9 Interpret specification, drawings and coordinate with the initiator and suppliers to find the right product. 10Consolidate requirement of different plant and obtain financial advantage 11Ensure PRs converting in to PO within the defined schedule and delivery completed and PO closed on time 12Handling and monitoring of claims to plants and vendors for defectives, shortage, missing parts. 13Liaise with Account Department on payment matters. 14Ensure applicable environmental and safety are communicated to the supplier. 15Qualification and performance evaluation of vendors. 16Perform other duties as assigned. 17Ensure all PRs should bind with legal POs within the defined time frame 18Perform other duties as assigned Skills Educational DesiredDiploma PreferredEngineering Diploma or Associate Engineering Minimum Experience Minimum5 Years PreferableUp to 7 years Purchasing & Logistics with Power & Desalination Project background Required Skills 1.Awareness of Quality, Occupational Health & Safety and Environment Management system principles 2.Excellent inter personnel skills 3.Must be a team player 4.Good communication & negotiation skills 5.Must be proactive 6.Can work under pressure 7.Multi-tasking 8.Hazard Risk assessment 9.Aspect Impact assessment Desired certification / Job specific skill / Training 1.Shall have Power & Desalination Plant Background 2.Must be conversant with ERP system, especially SAP 3.Valid KSA driving license will be an added advantage 4.ISO9001, 14001, OHSAS 18001 awareness/working knowledge is preferred. Work Condition The job holder requires supporting all Power & Desalination Plants, scattered all around KSA, in terms of providing their chemicals, spare parts, consumables needs. The ultimate requirement of the job is to replenish the safety stock levels of all chemicals, spare parts, consumables etc on timely and proactive manner. The job also requires a very close coordination with the end users & with the suppliers / contractors.
