Accountable for the timely and thorough review of commercial agreements with 3rd parties (bid documents, contract documents, MOUs, subcontract pre-qualifications and agreements, etc.) • Ensures that Nesma’s interests are safeguarded, provides recommendations to the conce
ed Division (Operations or Corporate Development) as needed, and drafts such contracts based on Nesma’s requirements • Provides support for the administration of change orders and claims (contract interpretation, advice on how to best approach issues with the client, substantiation of the change order or claim, participation in negotiations with the client or 3rd party, participation in dispute resolution forums, etc.) • Monitors Nesma’s contracts, its obligations to 3rd parties, and advises the Chief Contracts & Legal Officer as needed • Provides contract interpretation advice to all Nesma organizational units • Follows-up on regulatory developments of conce
to Nesma and their impact on Nesma’s commercial and contractual commitments, in the KSA and abroad • Develops and institutionalizes Nesma’s contractual legal know-how and capabilities • Advises on pursuing legal action against 3rd parties (e.g. in case of bad debts) Skills Working knowledge of legal terminology and practices •In-depth knowledge of Contracts law, Pre and Post Contracts, FIDIC. • Knowledge of EPC contractual issues, commercial methods, contract change management, change & variation orders, disputes, claims prevention and settlement skills. • Exposure to overall project contract planning, pre-qualification, RFP preparation / issue, negotiation and awarding, as well as, administration and close out of construction and engineering contracts. • Knowledge of various types of contracts.. • Good working knowledge of the Construction industry, trends, and other market developments in the Gulf Fluent in English language, both written and spoken Education Civil Engineering
