Under direction, performs a variety of shipping/receiving, stocking activities; stores and distributes supplies and equipment; maintains inventory and stock records; may serve as a lead worker to other classified staff in the area; and perform related work as required. Roles & Responsibilities 1Maintains district inventory for Plant supplies which includes ordering, receiving and allocating. 2Prepare and type annual requisitions, orders, reports, correspondence. 3Receives and inspects all incoming materials and reconciles with purchase orders; processes and distributes documentation with purchase orders; reports, documents and tracks damages and discrepancies on orders received. 4Post daily incoming and outgoing plant stock. 5Reports canceled and damaged items to the purchase department as appropriate. 6Handles and documents storage and transportation of hazardous materials. 7 Identification, segregation and preservation of materials stored 8Maintains the warehouse, records area and stores area in a neat and orderly manner. 9Segregation of waste for proper disposal 10Inform relevant personnel about the arrival of material and to arrange for inspection 11Answers questions regarding procedures and resolves discrepancies regarding receipts, deliveries, warranties, repairs and surplus property. 12Arrange to retu

Skills Educational DesiredDiploma in related field PreferredDegree Minimum Experience Minimum3 years in same functions Preferable6 years Required Skills 1.Awareness of Quality, Occupational Health & Safety and Environment Management system principles 2. Knowledge of environmental and health impact of chemicals being stored in the ware house 3.Knowledge of identification, handling, storing and disposal of wastes and expired chemicals 4.Ability to add, subtracts, multiply, and divides in all units of measure. 5.Ability to pass a typing test at 35 words per minute 6.Ability to operate a personal computer and related software 7.Good communication skills in English Language. 8.Hazard Risk assessment 9.Aspect Impact assessment Desired certification / Job specific skill / Training 1.ISO9001, 14001, OHSAS 18001 awareness/working knowledge is preferred. 2.Ability to communicate clearly and concisely.
