Summary: Conduct inspections of facilities to ensure compliance with the relevant health and safety regulations & standards, maintaining a safe working environment at all times. Main Responsibilities but not limited to: · Conduct daily HSE inspections of all facilities to ensure HSE policies, procedures & practices are being implemented. · Conduct daily inspections to check on work permits & ensures that required procedures for approvals are maintained. Ensures inspections are carried out in the work area. · Ensures general services are provided for the Plant & that good housekeeping practices are maintained. · Conduct weekly fire pump tests & monthly tests on all fire hydrants to comply with the national fire protection association (NFPA) standards. · Investigate & report on accidents, near misses & damage occurrences. · Carry out checks in confined spaces on necessity (e.g. Gases, tank leakage, and cleanliness of the tank). · Prepare translations of the safety procedures. · Support the HSE Specialist carrying out emergency evacuation drills. · Participate in health & safety committees by collecting ideas and suggestions for safety improvement & passing them to the HSE Specialist · Ensure work safely at all times. Observe all quality & housekeeping policies. · Keeps own work area clean & hygienic. · Design and conduct major safety studies and develop loss control methods, procedures, programs and mechanisms to eliminate or reduce loss if needed. · Conduct risk and safety management approach including risk identification, assessment, treatment, monitoring and controlling; risk tools analyses such HAZOP, FMEA, etc. Preparation and designing of Recovery Plans, Environmental Emergency Response Plan (EERP). Skills · Sound Knowledge in HSE Standards · Ability to manage multiple tasks, organize priorities, and meet deadlines · Ability to handle sensitive/confidential information professionally · Problem solving and analytical abilities · Ability to work under pressure · Good knowledge in Microsoft Office · Good verbal and written communication skills · Accident investigation & prevention · Health & Safety inspections · Personal Protective equipment regulations & implementation · Fire Safety (Firefighting, pump checking and assisting in evacuation) · Dealing with Hazardous substances & chemical safety · Knowledge in Risk assessment, accident prevention, preparing accident statistics, types & use of PPE, evacuation HSE Procedures · Follow up and monitoring skills · Risk management & Analysis Education Industrail Engineering or any related field
