Associate Consultant is responsible for providing medical care including diagnostic/therapeutic procedures as part of an integrated program of curative and preventive services based on the standards of care and practice maintaining a high-level of professional performance in accordance with: Professional medical ethics Hospital medical by-laws Laws of Ministry of Health In Kingdom of Saudi Arabia and any other applicable regulations according to the departmental quality plan. Skills Skills and Responsibilities include but not limited to: History taking, physical examination, interpretation of common diagnostic tests and document patient condition on admission in the specified admission sheet Can admit patients from the hospital E.R. after appropriate discussion and approval of the consultant under whose name admission is done. Evaluate a new admission and coordinates a plan of investigation to establish a diagnosis and a management course with or without consultant assistant as determined by Chairman of Department. Conducts daily ward rounds to all inpatients in the department, on his/her on and/or as a team with other department staff as determined by COD Documents plan of patient management in legible, accurate, timely manner and maintain appropriate completion of all patient’s medical record. Supervises and signs all discharge summaries, death reports and special reports on related patient prepared by the Registrar. Education and Experience: Saudi Board or Equivalent Higher qualification in the specialty Sub-specialty Endocrinology Education - Saudi Board or Equivalent - Higher qualification in the specialty -Sub-specialty Endocrinology
