Guide and lead a team of safety Engineers, Safety Specialists, safety officers, inspectors, etc. in the company Liaise with MaSa departments , Marafiq ISD – Safety, Fire and Security , contractors and others with regards to Occupational Health & Safety and Fire issues Establish and ensure compliance to Occupational Health, Safety & Fire policies, manuals, procedures, standards, guidelines and practices to promote a safe, incident–free environment and create a safety culture in MASA. Report to QHSE Manager on compliance of all Occupational Health & Safety and Fire requirements and performance periodically. The job holder works under the instructions, guidance and direction of Manager, QHSE. The job holder has to ensure compliance with legal & inte
ational standards e.g. OSHA and National Fire Protection Association (NFPA), e.g. High Commission of Industrial Security (HCIS) and related rules and regulations. Additionally the job holder works within the policies, procedures and safety standards of the company. Skills Broad understanding of loss control theory and loss prevention techniques. Excellent risk assessment and auditing skills. Sound training and presentation skills. Excellent incident investigation skills. Expert knowledge of personal protective equipment (PPE) requirements. Expert knowledge of safe chemical handling practices and all COSHH regulations. Expert knowledge of all OSHA, NFPA and other relevant safety regulations and standards. Health & Safety Systems.
