Reporting Relationships
Reporting to: Supply Chain Manager
Reportees: Purchasing Supervisors + Purchasing admins.
Job Responsibilities
Planning
Accountable for Inventory planning
Owning the availability materials for both Finance & Planning and raw materials
Co-ordinates and contributes in capacity planning related to warehouse with planning
and project teams
Monitor upcoming levels of demand
Logistics
Accountable for the inventory management and accuracy
Accountable for warehouse asset management
Accountable for all Physical loading and unloading activities
Accountable for shipping documents preparation and timely delivery
Shared responsibility on freight budget (fully accountable for inbound freight spend)
Ensuring the policies are strictly applied within warehouse
Manage daily transportation operations
Procurement
Accountable for the department agreed budget
Accountable for establishing and maintaining a detailed vendor’s database
Accountable for setting up and managing vendor’s evaluation system
Establishing market understanding and knowledge to be used by logistics team and other inte
al functions in taking logistics decisions
Owning the relation with all services providers
Team Management & Development
Ensure logistics team is fully understanding and compliant with all policies and guidelines
Establish solid bench for critical positions within logistics
Ensure that training requirements are identified and fulfilled to ensure professional logistics management
Required work experience and skills
4 – 5 years’ experience in current discipline
Familiarity with sourcing and vendor management
Interest in market dynamics along with business sense
Ability for negotiation and networking
Working experience of vendor management software
Ability to gather and analyze data and to work with figures
Strong judgments along with decision making skills
Strong leadership capabilities
Required educational qualifications
BS degree in supply chain management, or equivalent.
