Contribute to the technology record of the company through the development and/or application of new or non-conventional technology and Assess economic considerations on the facility when making engineering decisions

• Develop, implement and coordinate Process Engineering services for major development projects - in-house, corporate, business unit, and contract engineering

• Develop technical competencies in Technicians, Supervisors and Operators and Provide technical direction towards establishing the area’s operating plan and provide expert Process Engineering services necessary to achieve the plan


Experience & Qualifications

The Bake Oven Refractory Engineer is required to manage the process related activities in order to achieve results and process improvement. In this perspective, he is the technical reference for technicians, supervisors and operators in their daily work. He is also involved in strategic orientations and in any process related improvements.


The incumbent must also keep himself in contact with the Technology Team, the Technical and Research Center, and the Global Procurement. Outside contacts occur with inte
ational plants, technology transfer customers, consultants, and suppliers. Keep current with advancements in materials, processes, control strategies and EHS control in the Bake Oven and Rodding shop Refractory area.


Education Qualification: Bachelor Degree in Engineering (Ceramic Engg./Refractory Engg./Material science /Chemical/ Metallurgy or any other discipline)

Years of Experience: Minimum 4 years in Aluminum Smelter-Anode Baking fu
ace/Rodding shop

English Level: Excellent

Technical Qualification: Requires strong analytical, problem solving, and organizational skills. Working knowledge of industrial statistics and statistical process control.

Others: Advanced Technical degree, strong Computer skills
