The Job Holder is responsible for defining and leading the Engineering elements for all Industrialisation activities with the Training Delivery Programme. This includes the Technical Supplier Management of the Supply Chain, both on and off shore, and the development and implementation of Industrialisation solution for all Training platforms including the transfer of related repair, overhaul and manufacturing technology into Saudi Arabian industry.



It is a subject matter expert role with extensive knowledge of Supplier Management, covering both Engineering and Quality Domains, and the Support Engineering requirements necessary to meet the requirement to Industrialise elements of the Training Delivery Programme through KSA Industry.



Your main responsibilities:



As the SME (Subject Matter Expert) for Engineering, the Job Holder is to leading the Engineering activities associated with Industrialisation and the prime point of contact for all stakeholders; BAE Systems Saudi Arabia, MA&I, OEMs (Pilatus), MODSAP, RSAF/RSNF, UK Capability & Service Delivery Teams, and Industry.
Ensure the deployment of an effective Industrialisation Engineering Framework to manage the Industrialisation deliverables ensuring (with the relevant gove
ance leads) that the competencies of the engineers and specialists, and the quality of the Industrialisation engineering deliverables, complies with relevant discipline standards.
Production and implementation of the Industrialisation Engineering Management Plans covering Industrialisation and Procurement Acquisition/Delivery/Support/Business Management activities.
Day to day direction and management of the Engineering elements of the Training Industrialisation Team.
Taking the Engineering requirements and developing them into an appropriate set of Supplier Contract Requirements to be flowed down into the exte
al Industry product & service providers.
Lead the production/maintenance of a set of Engineering Capability Metrics which allows the performance of the Industrialised solution to be assessed with opportunities for improvement to be identified to the business.
Establish and maintain a Supplier Management Framework which ensures the Engineering Management capability of each Supplier is understood, that the Supplier Approval status reflects the known capability, that any Capability Improvements are contracted as part of any Supplier Contracts, and that the appropriate levels of Supplier Assurance are carried to out to effectively address the risks to the business.
Act as the Industrialisation Safety Engineer lead production and maintenance of a Supplier Management framework to ensure that all Industrialisation deliverables, including those of any Product and Service providers contracted through the Industrialisation Team, are safe, meet the requirements of the Safety and Environmental Management Plan and support maintaining the safe delivery of the Industrialised Solution.
Establishing a strong working relationship with the Training Delivery Teams to ensure any operational issues associated with Industrialisation deliverables are raised, and solutions defined and implemented, in a timely manner to maintain the safe and effective delivery of the Industrialised Solution.
Ensuring that the Engineering Management activities carried out by the Team and associated organisations are effective and results in work delivered on-time, to specification/quality, and to cost.
Implementing and promoting the Programme Risk Management Plan and processes, which is key to achieving the development deliverables in line with the technical specification, to the required quality standards, within the programme timescales, and to cost.
Formulating the Engineering strategies for Industrialisation, including the effective transfer of technology from UK and the Original Equipment Manufacturers (OEMs) to Saudi Arabian Industry, and implementing them in a measured way across the business leading to successful First Article Verification activities supporting the OEM Licensing if each KPC.
Ensuring that any inter-team dependencies are identified, their scope and content are defined with the dependencies reviewed and agreed with the relevant Supplier/Customer.
Ensuring the Industrialisation Team Engineering Organisation and supporting Resource Requirements are well defined, agreed with the Function, reflected in the Organisation Brochure and that a plan to ensure the timely availability of these resources is being worked both within Training and with relevant other Key Stakeholders.

Your Skills and Qualifications



Be educated to Honours degree level and Chartered Engineer Status
Experience of the development and application of engineering process, organisational design and functional gove
ance
Experience of managing and resolving complex engineering problems
Thorough understanding of the application of Engineering Lifecycle Management
Have proven experience in the engineering management of aircraft programmes.
Have a robust working knowledge of the design, qualification, assurance and supporting processes for aircraft and aircraft equipment
Have a deep appreciation of the importance of Saudisation & Industrialisation to KSA and is able to develop supporting strategies to optimise the Salam solution in that regard.
Have an understanding and knowledge of aircraft standards and regulations.
Qualified Quality Lead Assessor (EN 9110 based)
Level 3 QDY Compliant (Equivalent to Quality Manager Level)
