Production Planning Engineer\r\n plans and prepares production schedules for manufacture of precast concrete products, draws up master production schedule to establish sequence and lead time of each operation to meet delivery dates. The \r\nProduction Planning Engineer\r\n confers with the Production Manager to determine status of assigned projects, expedites operations that delay schedules and alters schedules to meet unforeseen conditions, prepares production reports, lists of required materials, tools, and equipment. He also may prepare purchase requests to obtain materials, tools, and equipment\r\n\r\nTo be responsible for preparing production schedule, issuance of fabrication drawings to the production area, analysis of production activities and resources, maintenance of production records and reporting to the Production Manager.\r\n\r\nProduction-planning supervision, scheduling for production, preparing production schedules for manufacturing of precast concrete products.\r\nMaking sure each operation meets delivery dates according to agreed time frame.\r\nAnalyzing production specifications and plant capacity data and performs mathematical calculations to determine manufacturing processes, tools, and human resource requirements.\r\nPlanning and scheduling workflow for each operation according to previously established manufacturing sequences and lead times.\r\nPlanning sequence of assembly, fabrication and other manufacturing operations for guidance of production workers.\r\nDetermining the status of assigned projects, expedites operations that delay schedules and alters schedules to meet unforeseen conditions.\r\nPreparing production reports.\r\nMay also prepare purchase requests to obtain materials, tools, and equipment.\r\nMonitors, analyzes & reports performance to schedule of production & production support activities, utilizing information derived from material and production control systems.\r\nEnsures all parties are fully cognizant of production status, & that work planning and execution objectives are integrated and communicated.\r\n Interfaces with Projects and/or Customer to coordinate the delivery of the product.\r\nInitiates replacement for non-conforming, damaged or discrepant products.\r\nResolves problems utilizing acquired knowledge & analytical abilities.\r\nProduction Schedule (Target vs. Actual – Monthly/Daily).\r\nSkills\r\nBachelor’s Degree in Civil Engineering, Architecture or other related fields.\r\n\r\nMinimum eight (8) years working experience in the precast industry and out of it minimum four (4) years in the same capacity.\r\nProjects Planning / Management experience is an advantage.\r\n\r\n\r\nKnowledge of ISO 9001 Clause 6, 7.1, 7.5 and 8.\r\n\r\n\r\n\r\nAdvanced analytical skills and ability to evaluate multiple alte
atives to yield the best decision.\r\n\r\nAdvanced experience and training in managing projects. \r\n\r\nBreadth of precast concrete production experience \r\n\r\nExcellent oral and written communication required.\r\n\r\nExperience, comfort and skill with personal computers including the Microsoft applications.\r\n\r\nAdvanced skill in manipulating and extracting data particularly from database driven systems. \r\n\r\nKnowledge of advanced planning techniques required.\r\n\r\nAbility to create and defend a logical argument to support a position\r\n\r\n\r\nEducation\r\nEngineering
