Follows prescribed policies and procedures and ensures that the assigned tasks are carried out consistently and in accordance with the instructions.
Generates moderately complex reports and inte
al documentation to facilitate informed business decisions.
Assists in configuring connectivity solutions for BSS/OSS systems
Installing, configuring and supporting network equipment including routers, proxy servers, switches, WAN accelerators, DNS and DHCP.
Identifies malfunctions in the networks/ systems to report issue rectification requirements to the direct senior.
Assists in configuring and supporting LANs, WANs, network segments, Inte
et, and intranet systems.
Assists in defining and validating the technical requirements of the tenders.
Resolves day to day operational and administrative issues.
Complies with all relevant quality, health and environmental procedures to ensure a healthy work environment.
Configures implements and optimizes IP Telephony solutions, and value added services (e.g., web conferencing, voice mail, etc.).
Assists in Business Continuity (BC) / Disaster Recovery (DR) planning and execution of BC/DR tasks for critical SAR services.
Proposes recommendations for future upgrades.
Updating network equipment to the latest firmware releases
Investigating faults in the network


QUALIFICATIONS:

Minimum bachelor's degree in computer science or related field. Master degree is a plus.
Relevant certification in project management (PMP, Prince 2) is a plus.
Relevant certification in network technologies (CISCO CCNA, CISCO CCNP, etc) is a plus.


EXPERIENCE:

Minimum 4 years of hand-on experience in IT network solutions.
Experienced in handling the design and implementation of IT network projects.


COMPETENCIES/Skills:

Effective communication skills.
Meticulous attention to details.
Good knowledge in information technology policies, processes, and procedures.
Ability to use logic and reasoning to identify the strengths and weaknesses of IT networks.
Solid knowledge in network design, network implementation, and network support.
Analytical mindset.
