Boeing Saudi Arabia is seeking a Senior Software Engineer to join our Decision Support System (DSC) team. This person will be leading a team of software engineers and system admin as well as developing software. This person will also work with the inte
ational team on some initiative. The senior level – non manager position is located in Riyadh Saudi Arabia.

The Saudi Arabia Decision Support Centre (DSC) is a cutting edge decision support and concept development capability delivering advanced operations analysis, modelling, simulation and experimentation services for Boeing projects and customers in the Kingdom and worldwide. The DSC is the Saudi Arabian component of the Phantom Works – Inte
ational (PW-I) group which is part of the Boeing Phantom Works organization.

Position Overview:

This role requires active leadership of development activities; from technical team task management to resolving complex technical issues, requiring a high degree of technical knowledge in the breath of modelling and simulation technology areas. Excellent communications skills and the ability to provide technical leadership within a highly talented small team are essential. The position is office based but may require short-term travel to customer sites and/or Boeing inte
ational facilities.

Position Responsibilities:

This is a Technical Lead role. Your duties will include (but are not limited to):

Creation and execution of DSC’s technical processes, capability development and systems integration supporting core DSC’s Defense analysis and experimentation tasks
Technical leadership, direction, day-to-day tasking and mentoring of the DSC’s Software Engineers and Systems Administrator
Leading the design, development and support of simulation and analysis software products and models and championing pragmatic Agile software engineering practices including continuous integration, delivery and deployment
Executing and delivering DSC components of the PW-I Technical Roadmap
Management of DSC technical facilities and ITC infrastructure and security, ensuring classified and unclassified software and hardware systems (physical and virtual computing, storage, workstations, networks and audio visual) are operational.
Basic Qualifications (Required Skills/ Experience) :

Hold a degree and significant experience in Computer Science/Engineering
Excellent communications skills
Strong hands-on development team lead experience
Significant experience in the design, development, test and release of mode
software systems in one or more of the following domains:
Defence Modelling and simulation
Analysis software
Visualisation software
Geographic information systems
Experience leading Agile software engineering teams and confident ability to take a leadership role and work well in a small, highly motivated and competitive team environment
Self-directed, able to work effectively within a cross-skilled project team environment and with people across all organisational levels
Be innovative and lateral in thought, a solutions thinker
Preferred Qualifications (Desired Skills/ Experience):

Strong knowledge of mode
C++ principles and practice (C++11 / 14 is mandatory) and C++ frameworks (eg Qt, Boost)Strong object oriented design skills
Scripting languages, eg QtScript, Python, JavaScript, Lua
Mode
3D graphics development (OpenGL, OpenSceneGraph)
Data visualisation/analysis/development environments and tools eg Tableu, Spotfire, STK, Matlab
Live Virtual Contructive (LVC) modelling & simulation technologies and standards (DIS / HLA)
Discrete event simulation (eg ExtendSim)
Experience with mode
DevOps processes and management of continuous integration, delivery and release systems
Design and operation of professional audio visual equipment (VTC, projectors, screens, AV switches, various video sources)
