The Opportunity



The Head of Business Continuity will be an added team member to develop, implement, and maintain business resilience capability across Almarai in line with industry’s best practice and standards by supporting the business’ growth strategy through the provision of effective frameworks, processes, and subject matter expertise.



Some areas of responsibility include but not limited to:



Responsible for the provision of an appropriate framework to provide an effective incident and crisis management capability across the group, and to lead responses to major incidents.
Develop and implement an effective business continuity / business resilience capability across the group that satisfies the organization’s business requirements and protects the interests of all stakeholders
Design and deliver in-house Business Continuity / Business Resilience exercises, which test and prove the appropriateness of incident, crisis management, and underlying plans.
Develop and agree on the business resilience strategy with key stakeholders.
Maintain a forward-looking horizon including current and future threats to the business, adequacy of current mitigations and actions, and propose / lead initiatives to increase appropriateness of responses.
Lead and develop business resilience practices and provide education, training, and awareness to support the business resilience strategy and incident response.
Produce reports and analysis of incidents including root cause, and follow up activities to senior management as required
Monitoring and maintaining knowledge of business continuity standards, events, developments through research, conferences, and training courses.


The ideal candidate must have the following Qualifications and Experience:



Bachelor degree or equivalent in a Business Continuity relevant discipline. Master degree in business continuity related field and/or Business Continuity Institute (BCI) membership will be an advantage
Basic IT skills with a working knowledge of the range of MS Office packages and knowledge of electronic security systems
At least 10 years of business continuity and crisis management experience
Experience of managing incidents, including decision making, influencing, remaining calm under pressure
Experience of writing procedures, drafting reports, preparing business cases, compiling, and adjusting duty rosters to meet shortfalls in staffing levels
Fluent or Excellent in English communication (written and verbal)
