[LEFT]Job Description Job Summary: To be responsible for the provision of care to referred patients, and to be in daily contact with patients, their families, nurses, technologists, ward physicians and physicians of the Specialty Services and Ambulatory Services Departments. Principal Duties: The following duties and responsibilities are expected to be practiced in line with policies and procedures of KFMC taking in consideration that the clinical services in this institute are consultant-based. • Performing the diagnostic imaging supervision, interpretation, consultation services and reporting, as well as imaging-guided procedures in accordance with the delineation of the scope of care and privileges as recommended by the Chairmen of department and approved by the Credentials Committee. • Responsible for all aspects of patient referred for radiological exams or procedures this includes but is not limited to: * Ensuring exams are indicated and appropriate based on available information (risk VS. benefits assessment). * Performing exams and procedures. * Dictating results. • Minimizing patient exposure to ionizing radiation according to ALARA (As Low As Reasonably Achievable) principles outlined in the hospital Radiation Safety Manual. • Responsible for the timely completion, completeness and accuracy of radiological reports. • Attending and participating in all the case conferences for patients under his/her team. • Providing the needed care to his/her patients in the medical imaging department or elsewhere where needed within KFMC . • Contributing to the total quality management program of the assigned services. • Contributing actively to patient education where deemed necessary. • Performing other tasks as indicated by section/department head or hospital authority. Educational Requirement: • Successful completion of sub-specialty fellowship training approved by SCHS, and acceptable to KFMC with a minimum of one year of the sub-specialty training in one of the recognized countries outside Saudi Arabia. • Certification by the appropriate sub-specialty, if one exists in the certifying country. • Training and post certification experience equal to or greater than seven years in a secondary or tertiary care facility. • Independent practice in the sub-specialty. Training: • One year of inte
ship in a recognized training program. • Completed the residency training and hold the Saudi Board certificate or its equivalent (e, g. Arab Board, American Board, Canadian Board). • Subspecialty fellowship training in the related sub-specialty in a recognized training program.
