الوصف الوظيفي
The Import Permit Analyst leads the development and management of the Gove
ment Permits process for the receipt of laboratory chemicals and consumables into the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia for KAUST. Major Responsibilities • Initiate and maintain communication and good working relations with relevant Saudi Arabian Gove
ment Agencies and entities to enable development and processing of KAUST specific permits; • Coordinate and forecast Saudi Arabian Gove
ment permit requirements with the Research and Faculty Liaison Team and the Chemical and Consumables Category Management Teams; • Provide specialist permit and customs advice; • Ensure smooth and efficient operation of the Customs Permit team at KAUST; • Ensure prompt processing of all Gove
ment import permit related requirement and Ministry liaison. To avoid any disturbance to the laboratory chemical and consumable supply operation; • Provide the highest standard Service and consultancy in custom clearing operation issues; • Resolves complex issues that affect KAUST relations with the gove
ment and impact university operations relating to the import of material; • Coordinate with brokers, local vendors to determine the nature of problem and to take the necessary steps to resolve the problem; • Provides all necessary assistance to the Customs Brokers requiring special coordination with Customs authorities; • Obtaining necessary import documents, for Custom duties to process materials accordingly; • Identify routine action to be taken on all KAUST material held by Customs; and • Resolve customs duty payments, as required. Organization Finance Division Procurement Services Technical Skills • Communication skills: Fluent in written and spoken English and Arabic; • Organizational Understanding and Global Thinking: Ability to understand complex environments and work effectively in both informal and highly official settings; • Organizational Understanding and Global Thinking: Knowledgeable of Saudi and Middle East culture, business approaches and working relationships. ment rules and regulations, as well as gove
ment and university organizational structures; Non-Technical Skills or Attributes • Expertise and Technical Knowledge: Possess valid Saudi driving license, is desirable; • Interpersonal/Group Skills: Excellent interpersonal and communication skills; and • Leadership: High standard of character and conduct. Required Education Bachelor’s Degree in Business / Political administration, political science, law, Supply Chain Management, Logistics or Operations Management. Required Experience • Minimum 3 years relative experience working in Saudi Arabia, preferably working with Saudi Arabian Gove
ment Organizations.. • Other degree holders will be considered if they can demonstrate the required knowledge and competencies.
