Saudi Arabia Job Title Postdoctoral Research Fellow Job Type Research Job Summary A post-doctoral fellow position is available within the Pathogen Genomics Laboratory in King Abdullah University of Science and Technology (KAUST), offering a unique opportunity to study the epigenomic landscape during host-parasite interactions between Theileria parasites and bovine host cells. This project is being conducted in collaboration with Prof. Gordon Langsley’s group at Institut Cochin in Paris. There will be flexibility to suit the interests of the selected candidate, and there is access to state-of-the-art sequencing and mass spectrometry/single cell genomics platforms, and ample computational resources within KAUST-PI and KAUST-Core laboratories. Our group uses a combination of next generation sequencing, bioinformatics, and functional genomics to study apicomplexan parasites and bacterial pathogens, with a focus on clinical isolates of epidemiologic significance. Major Responsibilities Proficiency in large-volume NGS data analysis in Linux/Unix environment. Experience or knowledge on standard molecular biology and epigenetics. Prior research experience in epigenomics and relevant data analysis will be a distinct advantage. Ability to conduct research independently and work collaboratively with other scientists is required.
